SOPT stands for Speed of Processing Training. The app includes SOPT Classic, its harder Advanced mode and a collection of other games involving attention, memory and reasoning.

SOPT Classic is inspired by the visual speed-of-processing tasks studied in ACTIVE. That does not mean this app has been clinically validated, or that the findings apply to every game. The articles help you understand the activities and the limits of training claims.

Editorial approach

These guides are written by the team behind the sites. We link to original research and public health institutions where relevant, distinguish evidence from practical examples, and show when an article was updated. The content is educational and has not been presented as a clinical assessment or medical review. Illustrations are illustrative, not diagnostic.
